Parents
WELCOME BROCKTON PARENTS & FAMILIES!
The Brockton Public Schools is pleased and proud to offer a very active, extensive and beneficial parent involvement program. We sincerely believe in the home-school-community partnership where all stakeholders come together to provide the most rewarding and enriching program for our city's children.
Parents are enthusiastically invited to visit the schools and get to know the teachers and administrators and to attend PAC/PTO or PTA meetings. Parents are encouraged to consider serving as school volunteers in our Partners in Excellence (PIE) program or possibly seeking a seat on their child's School Improvement Council or signing up for a series of helpful workshops at our newly created Parents' Academy! Our parents have come well beyond the "bake sale" days, although fund-raising is still a necessary and worthwhile activity which helps provide extra-curricular opportunities for our school children.
In the last ten years over 400,000 Brockton families and community members have bridged the home-school gap and joined our successful and collaborative effort.
If you have questions or wish to volunteer, please contact your school's Parent Liaison, school Principal or the Parent Information Center.
Thank you!
