Introduction:The Health and Physical Education Department provides students with the opportunity for optimum development of their physical, emotional, social, intellectual and spiritual well-being. It is our goal that students acquire a commitment to making lifestyle choices that result in a healthier and happier future.
Curriculum:
Freshman students are required to take “Introduction to Wellness”, a course that combines one term of physical activity with one term of classroom health education. Students will discuss relevant adolescent health topics as well participate in fitness activities, cooperative games and competitive play.
Additionally, students in grades 10-12 are offered an elective curriculum in both physical education and health. These electives provide a variety of contemporary health and physical education opportunities for students to expand their knowledge and skill in both disciplines.
