*Students with an incomplete file will not be placed until their file is completed.

*Placement decisions will take place in May and June.

*Assignment notices for students registered during March 13 and
May 12, 201t are mailed to families’ homes in July.

*Any registration done after May 12, 2017 will be on a first come, first served basis.

Pre-K going into K

*Students from the Gilmore School will receive a choice form for Kindergarten placement.

*Parents will be asked to make 3 choices of school.

*Placement decisions will take place in May and June.

*Letters will be mailed to students’ residences in July.

*SPED students will not receive a choice form.These students will be placed by SPED.

K going into Grade 1

*Students from the Barrett school will receive a choice form for Grade 1 placement.

*Parents will be asked to make 3 choices of school.

*Placement decisions will take place in April.

*Letters will be mailed to students’ residences in May.

*SPED students will not receive a choice form.These students will be placed by SPED.

*SEI and Two-Way students remaining in these programs will not receive choice forms.These students will be placed in the same programs in Grade 1. They will receive a placement confirmation letter in May.

Grade 6 Registration

*Grade 5 regular education students will receive a choice form for middle school placement.

*Parents will be asked to make 3 choices of school.

*Placement decisions will take place in May/June.

*Letters will be mailed to students’ residences in June.

*TAG, SEI, SPED, Two-Way students will not receive a choice form. These students will be placed in the same programs at the middle school level. They will receive a placement confirmation letter in June.

Brockton High School- School Choice Program

*Students that do not reside are invited to register to attend Brockton High School during this time.

*BHS will choose the “School Choice” students.

Transfers K-8 for the 2017-2018 School Year

*Transfers will be done during this allotted time only.

*No transfers will be accepted in August.
