Elizabeth Barry, Deputy Superintendent of Learning & Teaching

The links to the left lead the user to various areas of Teaching and Learning. The content in each area has been developed to give educators convenient access to the materials they need to implement a standards-based curriculum. Included are various resources to assist teachers in making sound decisions about both instruction and assessment.

Links have also been provided to give parents detailed information about the curriculum, as well as ideas for extending students’ learning beyond the school day.

Further information can be obtained by calling the Teaching and Learning Office, pre –K-5 at 508-894-4341 or the Teaching and Learning Office, 6-8 at 508-580-7026.

The academic opportunities at Brockton High School are numerous. As you examine the Course of Study and peruse the links to the various departments, you will see the wide array of options open to our students. Students should discuss their plans with their parents, families, teachers, and counselors in order to make informed decisions based on personal interests, abilities, school requirements for graduation, and most importantly, goals for the future. Choosing the right courses will help provide the foundation needed for further education and a career. Our advice to our students is to know what is available, plan with interests and goals clearly in mind, and commit to working hard to achieve those goals. We have many programs available, and our teachers, counselors, and administrators are here to help you make the best choices. However, you are the one who must work hard to earn your diploma and prepare for your future.
